Institutional investors are increasingly demanding socially responsible investments to help combat global challenges such as climate change, human rights abuses and corruption. These institutions reflect changing attitudes among many individuals who are seeking ways to invest their wealth while positively impacting the world. Conventional finance theory holds that limiting one’s investment universe by investing in a responsible manner should result in lower returns. We beg to differ.
